Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our OB/Women's Clinic for a GME residency program. The successful candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, acting as a chaperone for patient exams, assisting as a lab tech with daily blood draws, stocking and turning over rooms, checking and completing the autoclave, removing linens from rooms at the end of the day, and preparing for the next day by organizing patient charts and lab orders. Additional duties include handling prior authorizations and FMLA paperwork.
ResponsibilitiesRoom patientsAct as a chaperone for patient examsAssist as a lab tech with daily blood draws (5-6 patients on some days, 10-12 patients on others)Stock and turn over roomsCheck and complete the autoclaveRemove linens from rooms at the end of the dayNext-day preparation (organize patient charts, lab orders, etc.)Handle prior authorizations and FMLA paperworkAdditional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assistant Diploma (certification preferred but not required)High School DiplomaAt least 1 year of experience working in a physician clinic or specialty clinic1-2 years of experience performing blood drawsPrevious experience in women's or OB clinics is preferredStrong communication skills and ability to take direct feedbackPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00
