Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant for our Florham Park location. This role involves providing essential support in a primary care office, focusing on patient care and administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients in an outpatient setting.
ResponsibilitiesConduct patient intakes and room loadingPerform vital checks and manual blood pressure measurementsRoom patients and update patient recordsMaintain and update the electronic medical record (EMR) system, preferably AthenaScan documents and update inboxes for EMRRestock rooms and supply closets, complete inventory checksTriage phone calls for physicians and patientsProvide exceptional customer service and bedside careEssential Skills1-2 years of experience in medical assistingProficiency in patient careExperience with EMR systems (Athena or Epic preferred)Manual blood pressure measurement skillsHigh school diploma or GEDAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Medical Assistant (preferred but not required)Strong customer service and bedside mannerShift flexibilityWork Environment
The work environment involves a primary care office with 8 providers. The Medical Assistant will typically stay with the same provider, assisting with 15-30 patients per day. The role requires working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday shift per month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If a Saturday is worked, 4 hours will be compensated back during the week. The position offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients in an outpatient setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
