Medical Assistant

Description

Medical Assistant rooming 12 -15+ patients a day.

Medical Assistant will be tied to 1 specific physician - on average physicians will see 15+ patients a day.

MAs are grouped into teams so that if one is out, the others can cover.

MA will also be responsible for refilling patient prescriptions, filling doctors’ orders, completing prior authorizations, charting in electronic medical records (Epic), taking vitals, and more.

Blood pressure is the most crucial vital that the MA will take (must be as accurate as possible here) - blood pressure is taken manually.

Calling patients and giving them testing results (40-50% of day).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

National Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, NCMA, AAMA, NCCT, etc.).

6+ months of MA experience (externship experience only is OK).

EMR/EHR experience (Epic preferred).

Excellent customer service/patient care.

Proven reliability and good attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
