Job Description
This is a Medical Assistant Floater position for the Ormond Beach Office. The candidate must be flexible, dedicated, and professional. Perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform and document patient’s intake vitals including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.Repeat and notify clinician of any abnormal findings.Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, hospital inpatient and/or ED discharge records, diagnostic and laboratory results for clinician review.Essential SkillsMedical assistingPatient carePhlebotomyActive BLS certificationActive and valid driver’s licenseExperience with electronic medical records (EMR)Knowledge of medical terminologyExperience in pediatric careAdditional Skills & QualificationsMA Diploma / Certification required OR a minimum of 3 years MA experience will commensurate Diploma / Certification requirement.Work EnvironmentThis is a patient-facing role involving indoor work and operating a computer. The role includes exposure to hazards and requires manual dexterity. Tasks may involve reaching outward or above the shoulder, lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs, sitting, walking, squatting, kneeling, or bending. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33196.00 - $46883.00
