Internal Medicine | 40 hrs : 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with experience in internal medicine to join our team. The ideal candidate will greet patients courteously, assist them to examination rooms, and document information accurately in the electronic health record. The role also includes stocking examination rooms with medical supplies, scheduling and confirming appointments, preparing patient charts, and performing various administrative tasks.
ResponsibilitiesGreet patients in a courteous manner and bring them to the examination rooms.Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.Stock examination rooms and triage areas with necessary medical supplies.Inventory and reorder medical supplies as needed.Schedule appointments with doctors and call patients to remind and confirm appointments.Reschedule patients from the bump list and schedule residents' clinics where appropriate.Prepare charts for the next day, create new patient charts, file and pull charts, and check charts for referrals and authorization prior to visits.Prepare charge tickets.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsCertified or Registered Medical Assistant1+ years of experience in medical assisting preferredExperience with EMR systemsComputer savvyOutgoing and friendly personalityAdditional Skills & QualificationsCPR certification is preferredWork Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The dress code requires conservative solid color scrubs. You will be part of a team managing a patient flow while working along side different providers. The role includes preparing patient charts. The workplace offers several health plans, including dental and vision plans, with options for family coverage.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
