Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Back Office Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care Facility. The role involves checking in and out patients, taking vitals, logging information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen), verifying insurance, and covering the front desk when the receptionist is on lunch. The schedule includes working from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, three days per week, including weekends.
ResponsibilitiesCheck in and check out patients.Take and record patient vitals.Log information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen).Verify patient insurance details.Cover the front desk during the receptionist's lunch break.Assist with appointment scheduling.Provide patient care in back office settings.Essential SkillsExperience with appointment scheduling.Proficiency in using electronic health records.Strong patient care skills.Knowledge of NexGen EMR system.1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.Ability to handle both back office and some front office responsibilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsDrawing experience is a plus.Bilingual in Spanish.Experience with in-patient care and phlebotomy.CPT certification is a plus.Work Environment
You will be working in an urgent care facility within the Lakeside Community Healthcare network in West Covina. The role requires flexibility for a schedule of 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, three days per week, including weekends. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
