Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care by assisting providers with medical procedures, administrative duties, and front-office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals, medical histories, and other necessary information. + Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. + Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and administer medications under the supervision of a licensed provider. + Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and handle patient inquiries. + Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health records (EHR) system. + Process insurance authorizations and verify patient information. + Educate patients on healthcare procedures, follow-up care, and prescribed treatments. + Provide warm and professional communication to ensure patient satisfaction. Requirements Education: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) strongly preferred. Experience: + Minimum of 2 years in a clinical or medical office setting preferred. + Experience with EHR systems and medical terminology is a plus.
