Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Minimally Invasive Surgery Department. In this role, you will support physicians and patients by managing various clinical and administrative tasks. Your contributions will ensure smooth operations within the department and enhance patient care.

ResponsibilitiesRooming for the physician on Tuesday morningsCovering for the roomer who assists two other physicians on Wednesdays and Fridays if neededMaking surgery reminder calls for three providersHandling scheduling requests from patients needing imagingScheduling PostOp visitsAnswering the backline when in the officeBumping clinics if neededRescheduling patient appointments as directed by the physician or RNAnswering patient questions from the Clinical Pool, rescheduling appointments, or providing follow-up informationSupporting patients with FMLA paperworkAssisting with appointment notifications and scheduling imaging for patients scheduled by Relate CareCovering tasks for colleagues who are out or on vacationEssential SkillsMedical assistingEpic software proficiencyPatient careAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) requiredScheduling experience
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
