Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The Medical Assistant will perform clinical duties in a primary care setting under the supervision of a physician. The duties are mainly back office, such as taking vitals, rooming patients, restocking supplies, and cleaning rooms after patient visits. Occasionally, assistance at the front desk may be required.
Responsibilities
+ Take and record patient vitals
+ Room patients and prepare them for examination
+ Restock medical supplies and ensure examination rooms are clean after each visit
+ Assist with front desk duties as needed
+ Perform triage and patient care tasks
+ Verify insurance information
+ Provide excellent customer service
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Epic systems
+ Primary care experience
+ Ability to perform triage
+ Strong patient care skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Ability to take and record blood pressure accurately
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in medical assisting
+ Knowledge of insurance verification processes
Work Environment
This is a newer, fast-paced primary care office. The practice will see between 100 - 150 patients per day. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, although it may extend depending on the last patient visit. The office promotes career growth through a medical assistant program that ranks assistants by levels.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
