Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, checking vital signs, and ensuring that examination rooms are cleaned and prepped for each patient. Administrative duties will include updating health records, verifying insurance, and checking patients in and out of the clinic. Experience with the electronic health system EPIC is preferred.
Responsibilities

+ Ensure examination rooms are cleaned and prepped for each patient.
+ Update health records accurately and promptly.
+ Verify patient insurance information.
+ Check patients in and out of the clinic.
Essential Skills
+ Medical assisting
+ Patient care
+ Experience with EPIC
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to work as a team player
+ Ability to maintain professionalism and composure with difficult patients
+ Strong initiative and desire to improve
+ Knowledge of healthcare processes
+ Appointment scheduling
+ Understanding of medical terminology

Work Environment
The role is based in a clinic environment within the Neuro team. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule during daytime hours. This opportunity allows you to gain experience in a premier clinic in the Bay Area, specializing in neurology, and will help you build your resume.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
