ATTRIBUTES

High school graduate or equivalent & at least 6 months of clinical experience as a nursing assistant or related fieldRequires ability to file and retrieve patient records.Requires ability to obtain & document patient vitals, weights etcRequires interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives patients and their families and directs them to the appropriate place. 
• Answers telephones promptly and politely. 
• Schedules appointments
• Files pertinent information within patient’s records
• Obtains insurance prior authorizations
• Inputs charges on patient accounts
• Verifies patient insurance upon registration
• Billing
• Obtains & documents vital signs on patients
• Acts as a chaperone for the provider when needed
• Obtains & document patient weights
• Assist physician with minor procedures such as suture removal

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
