Medical Assistant

This is a combined posting for a Medical Assistant Certified and Medical Assistant Registered. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Medical Assistant - Certified:

The MA – Certified (MA-C) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA–C performs all aspects of the Associate MA-C role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA–C is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, Or Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, Or Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, Or Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification. Within 30 days of hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. 6 months of Healthcare experience 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $22.62, Max: $35.22

 

 

Medical Assistant - Registered:

The Journey Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Journey MA-R performs all aspects of the Associate MA-R role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. A Journey MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications: 

Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire  6 months of Healthcare experience 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk

 

Medical Assistant Registered, Salary Range: 

Min: $21.55, Max: $33.53
