Medical Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Denton, Texas! This role is in person / onsite. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume.
**Position Type** : 3-month contract to hire role
**Schedule** : Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
**Pay** : $22.50 to $24.30 per hour
**Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant** :
· Perform all the duties within the medical assistant scope of practice
· Organizes the clinical environment and provides support in patient care situations to assist physicians, APCs and nurses
· Perform patient-oriented procedures and medication administration
· Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures
· Administers non-intravenous medication
· Performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary
· Performs EKGs.
· Performs quality control checks on equipment.
· Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave.
· Performs all other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications** **of the Medical Assistant** :
· High school diploma or GED required
· CCMA or RMA required
· BLS certified or able to obtain after an offer
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

**Pay Details:** $22.50 to $24.30 per hour
