This role is essential to creating a safe and supportive environment while maintaining FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values. Shift Availability: + Thursday – Monday:3:00 PM to 11:00 PM + Sunday – Thursday:11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Must-Have Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Valid NYS Driver’s License. + At least 1 year of experience in a medical setting. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong multitasking abilities and composure in challenging situations. + Ability to remain calm and focused in crisis situations. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: + Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field. + 3+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. + Experience in behavioral health. Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: + Obtain vital signs from clients and report findings as needed. + Assist in client searches to ensure safety and compliance. + Observe and document urine drug screens. + Monitor clients following medication administration. + If certified, enter requisitions and perform bloodwork as required. + Assist in cleaning and preparing client rooms, following infection control protocols. + Support various tasks, including screening, intake, orientation, counseling, crisis intervention, patient education, and case management. + Contribute to treatment planning and provide therapeutic interventions to promote client skill development. + Provide transportation for clients to treatment-related appointments or community activities. + Observe and report changes in clients’ medical conditions, mental status, or behavior, documenting accordingly. + Role-model appropriate behavior and responses to clients facing challenges. + Teach clients about personal care, daily living skills, safety, and available community resources. + Liaise with community support systems, agencies, and families as necessary. + Participate actively in staff, in-service, and supervisory meetings. + Assist in daily maintenance and cleanliness of living areas and complete shift-specific checklists. + Support clients in reaching their personal goals. + Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and facilities. + Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.
