Overview M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic - Beam located in Maplewood, MN . Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic - Beam is a growing and collaborative clinic. This position would be working with both our allergy and pulmonary clinic. Our clinic hours are 7AM to 5PM Monday - Friday, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 Hours Per Two Week Pay Period), benefits-eligible opening. This positions schedule is Monday- Friday with some variability in hours depending on clinic need. This position is eligible for a $2000 New Hire Sign On Bonus. This position would support multiple specialties at the M Health Fairview Specialty Clinic - Beam. Responsibilities Job Description As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is crucial for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient. Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members. Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.
