The position involves processing insurance claims, communicating through outbound and inbound calls with insurance companies, clinics, doctor’s staff, patients, and caregivers, and assisting with copay assistance. The role requires managing phone work, with specific times set for handling calls. Performance will be measured based on efficiency and quality monitoring through actual phone call reviews. This position offers a temporary contract with the potential to become permanent.
ResponsibilitiesProcessing insurance claimsMaking outbound and inbound from insurances, clinics, doctor staff, patients and caregiversHelping with copay assistancePhone work will be inbound 15-20%, outbound 20%-30% and the rest of the time processing and completing prior authorizations and investigating insurances claims.
Essential SkillsHigh school graduate or equivalent.Proficient computer skills.Pharmacy Technician Trainee certification (TSBP - must be current and in good standing)Prior authorization processing experience (preferred)
Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Work EnvironmentThis role operates on a shift basis, either 7am- 4pm, 9am -6pm or 10am -7pm CST, Monday through Friday.Training will span 3 weeks, with orientation and SOP training, followed by hands-on training, and culminating in independent work.About Actalent
