Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Medical Assistant to join our team in New Providence. In this role, you will provide essential back office support, ensuring smooth patient flow and assisting providers in delivering high-quality patient care.

ResponsibilitiesConduct patient intakes and room loading.Perform vital checks and room patients.Assist providers in patient care and office procedures.Set up and break down for office procedures.Update inboxes for EMR and scan documents for EMR.Update patient charts for medication and input orders.Restock rooms and supply closets, complete inventory.Triage phone calls for any physician or patient questions.Maintain and update electronic medical records (Athena).Essential Skills1 year of medical assistant experience.Proficiency with electronic medical records (preferably Athena or Epic).Medical assisting and patient care skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred, but not required.Podiatry experience is a plus.Proactive, outgoing, and able to multitask.Hardworking, a problem solver, capable of managing patient flow efficiently.Takes initiative and has a willingness to learn.Flexible with shift hours and able to work in different office locations if needed.Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, and two Saturdays a month from 8am to 12pm. Regular hours are 8:00am-5:00pm/5:30pm, with two late days (Mondays and Wednesdays) where the last patient is seen at 5:50pm, and the day typically ends around 6:00-6:15pm. Flexibility with hours is required as there may not always be a specific end time. The schedule is planned monthly, providing advance notice for shifts at different office locations. The office sees around 40-50 patients per MA, with two providers and two MAs per provider, each seeing approximately 80-100 patients a day. The team is friendly, supportive, and the work environment is enjoyable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
