of safety at every level within the organizationThe Medical Assistant will provide basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant roleClinical DutiesmiddotProvides direct patient care within the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant including but not limited to vitals outside medication reconciliation outside allergy reconciliation screenings patient history and virtual healthmiddotConducts point of care testing including quality control and documentationmiddotAssists providers with in house procedures as needed including but not limited to pumpsmeters bladder scan sterile technique suturesstaples and gyn examsmiddotObtains blood samples by venipuncture with competencymiddotAccurately performs tests such as basic urine chemistry using chemical strips guaiac pH blood glucose UPT and hemoculturemiddotUnder direction of providers and nurses provides other treatments and care to patients appropriate to training as assignedPrepares and assists patients undergoing treatments examinations and proceduresAdministrative DutiesmiddotProvides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling chart prep referrals check inout prior authorizations and transportation facilitationmiddotAccurately documents and communicates interventions and measurements and communicates appropriately to health care providermiddotCovers the front desk based on business needsmiddotAssists in the maintenance of equipment supplies and a clean and safe work environmentmiddotChecks equipment and supplies for expiration dates electrical safety tags intactness and usabilitymiddotCleans equipment and stores it in its proper
