CenterWell is seeking a Medical Assistant, in this role you will be the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. As a part of the Clinical Care Team you will engage with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant makes a difference in people’s lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.

Job Functions:

Performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records systemTaking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care siteCollaborates closely with Physicians and NursesDelivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allowsSchedule appointments for patientsProficient in EMR process

 Required Qualifications1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient careActive Medical Assistant Certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or as a Registered Medical Assistant/RMA or Medical Assistant Experience willing to obtain certification within 1yr of employment.Experience with MS OutlookCPR certificationWilling to travel to nearby clinic when needed

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experiencePrevious experience in a geriatric setting1-2 years' experience with EMR and ECW

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Additional Information

An active RMA or CMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, AMT, NAHT, NCCT, or AAH (**Please note if you are currently certified, some CMA and RMA programs may still require completion of Humana approved certification program within one year from hire date**)This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
