Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. As a part of the Clinical Care Team you will engage with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant makes a difference in people’s lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician. **Center Address:** 6515 Garth Road, Suite 150, Baytown, TX 77521 **Job Functions:** + Performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system + Taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site + Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses + Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows + Schedule appointments for patients + Proficient in EMR process **Use your skills to make an impact** **Required Qualifications** + 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care + Active Medical Assistant Certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or as a Registered Medical Assistant/RMA or **Medical Assistant Experience willing to obtain certification within 1yr of employment.** + Experience with MS Outlook + CPR certification + Willing to travel to nearby clinic when needed **Preferred Qualifications** + Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience + Previous experience in a geriatric setting + 1-2 years' experience with EMR and ECW **Working hours** : Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM **Additional Information** + **An active RMA or CMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, AMT, NAHT, NCCT, or AAH** **(**Please note if you are currently certified, some CMA and RMA programs may still require completion of Humana approved certification program within one year from hire date**)** + This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
