Position Highlights:
Sign on bonus: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus (grossed up). The first $500 will be paid at your 6 month mark of employment and the remaining $500 will be paid at the end of one year, as long as you are in good standings with no active disciplines.
Position: Medical Assistant- Centralized Triage
Location: Warrenville, IL
Full Time: 40 hours / week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, OR 8:30am - 5:00pm, OR 9:00am - 5:30pm (full 8 hour days)
What you will need:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA ,RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. Three years clinical experience is preferred.
Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
Valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
General Summary: Under general supervision of clinic supervisor, and following established procedures and precedents, assists with resolving patient needs presented telephonically and electronically. Under delegated supervision of a provider, performs clinical and administrative tasks. Reviews patient chart information in order to ensure all necessary information is available or work to obtain missing information to resolve patients' needs and requests. Ensures information is complete prior to forwarding to provider for advice. Documents pertinent information in electronic medical record. Assists with first line service recovery when a patient/family member expresses dissatisfaction with care and recognizes when to escalate the matter to supervisor.
Duties include:
Manage messages in EMRqueue from patients, providers, nurses...assisting with resolving within turnaround times established.
Complete medication prior auth and DME requests
Relay test results as directed by providers
Respond to patients within MyChart within scope.
Order supplies
Assist nurses with faxing and sending certified mail
Collect mail and distribute daily.
Maintain multifunction machines (order supplies, trouble shoot, open tickets for maintenance)
Order department office supplies within budget parameters
Maintain provider time off calendar within department
Maintain daily Cisco stats in Excel
Physical requirements: sitting 85-90% of shift, frequent use of keyboard/mouse.
