Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant to join our team!

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Order, collecting, process routine and specialty testing, and returning results back to doctor. Obtain, process doctor’s orders, and data entry. Provide good customer service on the phone, patients, doctors and other medical staff. Work well under pressure. Collects blood samples ensuring proper patient identification and labeling samples. Follows clinic & hospital policies and procedures for transporting/delivering of samples to laboratory. Perform CLIA waived moderate testing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proficiency in collecting correct blood samples and other body fluids, ensuring proper patient identification and labeling of samples. Follows hospital policies and procedures for transporting and delivering samples to laboratory. Knowledge of handling laboratory supplies and stocks supplies. Ensure that patients receive appropriate competent and quality clinical care and that customer service meets patient’s expectation. Adherence by staff to all policy and procedures. Provides age appropriate care. Reporting monitoring and management of patient and staff incident Monitoring and management of patient and physician satisfaction results Follows standards precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Knowledge and performance of sterile tech. Maintain, develop and utilize professional relationships with a wide range of
organizations and specialists. Maintain effective working relationships between nursing, clerical, medical and allied health staff. May perform special tests such as clotting times, bleeding times, and glucose tolerance tests and report results to other lab personal. Maintains strict quality control for procedures. Organize requisitions received for collection, Maintains records of tests performed Scanning orders and lab results into electronic medical system, print and fax lab reports to ordering doctor. Maintains Point of Care documents and performs Quality Control management. Orients and mentors new staff members. Shows good customer service on phone and in person to anyone that enters the laboratory. Performs miscellaneous tasks that promote smooth operations. Helps Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist with takes to ensure good turnaround time. Other duties as deemed necessary.
