Medical Assistant Clinical Development Team

Job Description:

Shift Details:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Unit/Location:  Medical Group, Billings - Partially Remote

As a Medical Assistant with our Clinical Development Team at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our MAs, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:  

 

Planning, developing and implementing educational programs in the outpatient setting: With the rest of the Clinical Development Team (RN and Lead MA) this position will coach, teach, train and act as a subject matter expert for the MA Scope of practice. This includes competency in MA skills such as rooming patients, medication administration, care gaps, and screenings

Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients and caregivers to identify, create, implement and standardize MA protocols using Ambulatory Epic to chart.

Team Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care.  Attention to detail and follow through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.  Will work with team to participate in Quality Improvement meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Must be obtained prior to start date.

5 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications/registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA or have obtained certification within one year of hire.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$21.14 - $32.63
