Position Name: **Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (MA) - Float**
Location: **Tampa, FL** - _Float within Tampa Bay Area_
Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent
Setting: Medical Group Clinics in Hospital Health System
**Pay**
$17-$22 per hour + $2.50 Float Differential
**Shift** _(Full-Time)_
- Monday-Friday
- Time depends on clinic, between 7am to 6pm
**Qualifications**
_Required:_
- Graduate from an MA Program.
- 3-4 years MA experience.
- Flexibility to work between 7am to 6pm.
- Valid and active Driver's License.
- Be able to travel to different clinic locations. Mileage and toll reimbursement provided.
_Preferred:_
- 5 years of MA experience.
- Certified or Registered MA Credential highly desired.
- Specialty Experience, such as: Cardiology, Urology, Bariatrics, OB, Peds, Endo/Diabetes, etc.
- Epic EHR experience (training will be provided).
- BLS Certification (needed before start date).
**Application Guidelines**
- _Professional Stability:_ 2+ years in recent roles preferred.

**Job Summary**
- Float to different specialties within the hospital system: Cardiology, Urology, Bariatrics, OB, Peds, Endo/Diabetes, etc.
- Review appointment schedules in advance and ensure that patients receive reminders about their appointments. Confirm and validate insurance coverage before the appointment date.
- Complete chart preparation and abstraction activities prior to the patient's visit.
- Greet the patient, conduct screenings, gather medical history, check vital signs, reconcile medications, and address other relevant intake requirements.
- Ensure the patient and the examination room are ready for physical assessments or procedures.
- Provide education to patients about tests, medications, and dietary information.
- Ensure the confidentiality of both employee and patient administrative and medical information, with no violations.
