Medical Assistant Floater
Actalent is look for a Medical Assistant Floater! Job Description The Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. Supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient population. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will be working in various offices to support in either the MA role or dedicated lab station. Hard Skills + MA Diploma/Certification or 3 years of back office experience + Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements + Knowledge of basic medical terminology + Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices + Phlebotomy skills Soft Skills + Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public + Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly + Flexibility to float from one location to another as patient queue demands + Independent + Responsible + Organized Work Environment 100% onsite: floats between Monday - Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm) AND Every-Other-Saturday (8:00am to 12:00pm).
