Job Description Monitor patient arrival and assist with patient flow, ensuring that patients and visitors are greeted promptly and courteously. Escort patients to exam rooms, monitor patient wait times, assist patients in preparing for exams, and advise physicians when patients are ready. Assist during examinations if required or requested. Obtain and record patients' chief complaints, information, data, and histories. Record vital signs, perform venipuncture, collect specimens, measure temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and document results in patients' charts within the scope of practice. Prepare medical records, take heights, weights, and vital signs, and record them. Ensure lab and other reports are o records before each patient's appointment. Provide interpretation services and clerical support necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the office. Maintain examination rooms and medical areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Stock examination rooms with supplies and check supplies from vendors against packing slips as assigned. Update pertinent patient information, including medical insurance coverage and eligibility in the appropriate EMR system. Retrieve and file medical reports/lab results. Maintain and ensure patients' health information confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA rules. SCHEDULE: Work hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 05:00 pm. Essential Skills + Proficiency in recording vitals and using EMR systems. + Experience in medical assisting and patient care. + Knowledge of HIPAA rules. + 1+ yrs of healthcare experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Epic EMR system. ( a must) + Scheduling appointments. + Clerical support skills. Work Environment The role is based in a busy outpatient office handling 50-100 patients a day.
