Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant (MA), you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. A Medical Assistant - is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.
Will be working with mothers, infants, and children, who are enrolled in the (WIC) program at Clinica Santa Maria. WIC is a federally-funded nutrition program for pregnant women, breastfeeding moms, infants, and children.
As a specialized Medical Assistant working in this program you will assist with the following:
Scheduling AppointmentsLinking women and children to community resourcesProviding nutrition support and educationBreast feeding education and supportProgram enrolmentBasic VitalsPoint of care testingTraining will be coordinated in partnership with the Kent Country Health Department.

Graduated of a Medical Assistant Clinical Training Program or Externship program or 2 or more years of current, clinically relevant experience.Preferred: RMA, AAMA, AMT, or CMA registration or certificationMedical TerminologyCurrent American Heart Association BCLS / CPR CertificationCompletion of High School Diploma or GEDWhat Medical Assistants, MAs will do:
