Job DescriptionUtilize Medent as EMR for patient records.Use multiple scheduling platforms to coordinate surgeries for physicians at to perform surgery in local hospitals.Set up pre-testing and medical clearances for surgery.Complete prior authorizations.Support 2-3 providers.Manage the appointment calendar, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff availability.Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and address patient inquiries.Verify patient insurance coverage and collect copayments.Maintain and update patient records/history, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.Process insurance claims, create invoices, and manage patient billing.Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.Order and manage medical supplies and equipment. Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.

Hard Skills/Qualifications

Experience with patient scheduling and insurance reviews via phoneKnowledge of medical terminologyEMR Experience (Medent)Previous Medical Assistant experience (Certification preferred but not required)
