High School Degree plus 2 years of experience working in a medical environmentCertification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferredMedical terminology knowledgeMust have experience in Microsoft programs, specifically Microsoft OfficeACT 33/34/73 clearancesPre-employment drug screenAccess to a transportation requiredWORK SCHEDULE (This is a non-exempt/hourly position)
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with Rotating Tuesday or Wednesday evening 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and 1st and 3rd Saturday mornings 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
ABOUT THE POSITION
We’re looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to be both a clinical and administrative standout in our Medical Center.An average day might include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, coding for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs/medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.This position is funded by one or more grants. Because this is a grant-funded position, the position is not eligible for a severance pay at the end of the grant period, under the Trinity Health Severance Pay Plan.This position will work primarily at our location on the Southside of Pittsburgh with some travel to other sites.ABOUT YOU
