Make a Difference
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also get to actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
HATS is a specialty geriatrics clinic that sees patients over the age of 65 for memory loss, mood changes, and mobility issues.
Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years. Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system Serve both front and back offices capacities - check in/out, vitals, scheduling follow ups Manage inbasket and phones Support completing the review of systems and cognitive testing of patients Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff
