Description:The phlebotomist uses approved techniques to collect quality biological samples for laboratory testing from all patients.
populations (Kidney and pancreas transplant) while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying the service excellence
goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation. May perform electrocardiograms (EKG's) for cardiology interpretation.
Assist with patient registrations.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.BLS CPR by the American Heart Association. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, OR one year of Medical Assistant work experience can be substituted for the successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

Must obtain at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant credentials within 6 months of hire date:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

American Medical Technologists (AMT)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
