Job Description

Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients in a pediatric neurology office. Update patient information, assist with daily patient load, and support back office functions.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with intakes for patients and room loading.Perform vital checks and medication reconciliation.Prepare charts prior to patient visits and orthopedic injections for the doctor to administer.Prepare patient rooms and complete prior authorizations.Review MRI reports, restock rooms and supply closets, and complete inventory.Triage phone calls for physician or patient questions.Update patient records and electronic medical records using Athena.Cross train in spine, pain management, and orthopedics as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in medical assisting and patient care.At least 1 year of medical assistant experience.Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Athena.Pediatric experience is preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertification as a medical assistant is preferred but not required.Experience in pediatric and/or outpatient settings.Strong organizational skills.Patient, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.Work Environment

The position supports 2 offices for the doctor. The primary office location is 315 E. Northfield Road, Floor 1, Livingston, NJ, with twice-weekly visits to Building B, Warren, NJ. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during the day shift: Monday 9-7, Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 9-7, Thursday 9-5, and Friday 9-2. The work involves handling patients with ADHD, migraines, autism, and nerve issues. The office environment is small, fostering long-term hires and independent work. Thursdays are catch-up admin days as the doctor is not present.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
