Medical Assistant / LPN - Midway Clinic
Overview M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Team at the M Health Fairview Midway Clinic located in St. Paul, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Midway Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic hours are 7AM to 6PM Monday - Thursday and 7AM - 5PM on Fridays, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays. This provides an excellent work life balance! We are located within walking distance of Target and Allianz Stadium in a beautiful space that provides lots of natural light during the day. Our clinic utilizes a team-based approach to support our Internal Medicine and Family Medicine providers in delivering excellent care to our patients and community. Medical Assistants are a valuable member of our care team and collaborate with providers and support staff in meeting patient care needs during and between appointments in the clinic. Medical Assistants on our team gain experience beyond patient care by working on collaborative projects with other clinics in our service line, leading process improvement initiatives in our clinic, serving as subject matter experts in the clinic, and precepting skills during annual competency review or with new employees. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period) opening and is benefits-eligible. The schedule for this opening is Tuesday - Friday 7AM - 4PM, subject to change based on clinc needs. For details, please visit our benefits page by clicking here Responsibilities Job Description As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is essential for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient. Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members. Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN. Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Ambulatory Care Experience AAMA Certification We find those that excel in this role exhibit many of these characteristics: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
