Overview We Fairview Health Services are looking for driven Medical Assistant to join the hard working team at the Fairview Clinic in Eden Prairie! This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks, is benefit eligible, and we are offering a $2000 sign on bonus. Pay for this role starts at $23.25 and increases based on experience. The Eden Prairie location provides our patients with access to 9 different specialties and 19 different providers. Responsibilities Job Description The Medical Assistant/MA supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The MA will gather information and documents to support the patient visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting cohesion with all members of team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences. Demonstrates ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served. Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs. Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with the authorized practitioner and other team members. Performs high and low risk technical procedures defined by the clinical setting includes medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures and may include lab draws. Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patient. Responds appropriately to emergent situations. Ensures a safe, secure environment. Communicates verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner. Uses communication approaches appropriate to patient needs Respect and ensures the confidentiality of all information regarding patients, staff members or Fairview business issues. Shares information only with those who need to know. Provides patient education based on assessment of learning needs of patient/caregiver. Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Qualifications Ambulatory Care Experience AAMA Certification Other Skills We Desire at Fairview: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
