Responsibilities Job Description As a member of the patients care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions supporting the needs of both the healthcare team and patients. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, available resources, patient support team preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members. Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN. Qualifications Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Qualifications Ambulatory Care Experience AAMA Certification We find those that exceed in this role also exhibit these characteristics: High standard of creative prioritization skills and priority setting.
