This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, Senior Medical Assistant, and Lead Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant (MA II) performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An Medical Assistant (MA II) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
The Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.
The Lead Medical Assistant (MA IV) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Lead Medical Assistant (MA IV) is capable of performing all aspects of the Associate MA (MA I) and Medical Assistant (MA II) and Senior MA (MA III) roles. Additionally, the Lead Medical Assistant (MA IV) serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic. **Associate Medical Assistant:**
**Required qualifications:**
+ National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
+ Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning) or Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months or
+ 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
+ 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR)

**Medical Assistant:**
**Required qualifications:**
+ Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning) or Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces or has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months or
+ National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
+ 6 months of healthcare experience
+ 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

**Senior Medical Assistant:**
**Required qualifications:**
+ Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship or Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months or
+ National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
+ 2 years' medical assisting experience in a clinic setting
+ 2 years' experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion
+ 6 months' Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
Senior Medical Assistant, Salary Range:
Northern, CA (Napa)
**Min: $24.98, Max: $39.73**
**Lead Medical Assistant:**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning) or Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months or
+ National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
+ 3 years' medical assisting experience in clinic setting
+ 3 years' Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
+ 6 months' Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of
