Under the supervision of the physician and/or practice manager the Medical Assistant, assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support throughout the practice.
This individual is also responsible for:
Participating in the examination processSafely handling medical equipment and instrumentsElectronic medical recordsThe Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in all settings in collaboration with other interdisciplinary personnel.
Job Requirements
High School DiplomaWithin one year from date of hire, continued employment will require successful attainment of MA, RMA, CCMA, CMA (AAMA) or NCMAMay be hired with six months of experience as a STNA, Nursing Assistant or PCA but are not able to administer medication or enter Epic orders until competency demonstration has occurred.
