Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting a large medical group client in Worthington, OH to assist with their search for a Medical Assistant to join their team! **APPLY NOW!!!** **Schedule** Upon hire you will work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, no weekends required! **Pay Rate** The wage for this position is between $18 and $23. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors. **As a Medical Assistant you will:** + Maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of exam rooms + Maintain timely flow of patients + Greet patients and prepares them for physician examination + Take and document patient histories including medications and drug allergies, height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse + Assist physicians with procedures and collection of specimens + Perform post void residual urine test (PVR) exams, draw blood, collects urine samples, perform office lab procedures and documents results, and coordinate all specimen requests and reports to and from various laboratories. Pull charts for lab reports to be reviewed and signed by physicians + Clean and sterilize equipment. Performs quality control measures and documentation. Prepare and replenish supplies + Maintain inventory + Instruct patient regarding preparation for tests + Provide information and pamphlets + Request and assist with formal consent when required + Receive and organize the handling of medication samples, check expiration dates and dispose outdated medications accordingly + Dispose of contaminated and disposable items + Mail normal PSA result and annual exam reminder cards + Phone Triage: + Answers phones, forward call to appropriate physician + Schedule appointments + Call results to patient after physician reviews them. + Call in medication prescriptions to patient pharmacy as directed by physician. + Give limited medical advice over the phone and documenting the call and the advice given + Performs other duties as assigned **Requirements:** + Completion of a Medical Assistant program + Hold Medical Assistant certification Click on **_apply now_** for instant consideration!
