Job Summary
Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider.
Job Requirements
a.Minimum Education Requirement :
High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma. Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
b.Minimum Experience Requirement :
Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred. Computer skills required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.
c.Minimum License Requirement :
BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer. Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training.
