This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday generally from 8am-4:30pm. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla (Torrey Pines area). Travel to other sites on an as-needed basis. No weekends, evenings or holidays.

The Ideal Candidate What You'll Do:

Experienced and comfortable in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals.Eager to grow their skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care.Function in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers.Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman

Required Certification/Registration:

BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting preferredExperience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
