+ Position: Full-Time Medical Assistant / Patient Service Coordinator with our busy medical oncology office in Monroeville, PA
+ Schedule: Monday through Friday, daylight hours
+ No evenings, weekends, or holidays are required!
In this role, you will assist physicians with patient care, including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks; take vital signs, register patients, schedule testing, help with exams and treatments, maintain stocked supplies, and ensure clean exam rooms.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Completes vital signs, specimen testing and EKGs as needed.
+ Organizes daily schedule of patients, greet patients and assigns rooms.
+ Orders supplies for the unit as necessary.
+ Maintains competency requirements.
+ Coordinates the ordering of blood products in collaboration with RNs, Blood Bank and Laboratory.
+ Greets each person entering the clinic, and identifies self and role. Explains processes and procedures to new patients and assists with paperwork.
+ Participate in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
+ Other Duties as Assigned.
+ Maintain high visibility. Stationed in a prominent area in the clinic that is readily identifiable and accessible to customers.
+ Anticipates and responds to meet customer needs.
+ Respond appropriately to crisis situation as a team member.
+ Participates in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
+ Assists in the registration of patients to include verification and confirmation of health insurance coverage.
+ Immediately report any situation that may impact the safety of patients, visitors and staff.
+ Provides front desk coverage as assigned.
+ Continuously monitors the environment and facilitates correction of any detraction from the appearance, comfort and safety of the clinic.
+ Account for all customers in the clinic.
+ Provides lobby/waiting room coordination and supervision.
+ Serve as liaison between customers and clinic staff.
+ Collects 100% of copays daily and correctly balances at the end of each day.
+ Coordinates scheduling to include testing.
+ Coordinates and manages the bone marrow biopsy schedule for multiple practitioners and bone marrow technician.

Medical Assistant:
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Patient care experience preferred.
_Salaries range from $16.74 - $18.80 - $25.57 hourly_
Medical Assistant, Senior:
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
+ OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
+ OR at least 1 year of patient care experience.
+ Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category-specific tasks as determined by the manager.
+ Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
_Salaries range from $16.84 - $19.57 - $25.72 hourly_
Medical Assistant, Expert:
+ Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
+ OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA) and 1 year of patient care experience
+ OR at least 2 years of patient care experience.
+ Must successfully complete the UPMC Preceptor training and serve as a preceptor and mentor to newly hired team members.
+ Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in all practice category-specific tasks as determined by the manager.
_Salaries range from $16.94 - $20.32 - $25.87 hourly_
Patient Service Coordinator:
+ High School graduate or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of three years of direct patient care and or phlebotomy experience.
+ Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
+ Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from multi-disciplinary groups.
+ Possesses excellent organizational skills.
_Salaries range from $16.94 - $20.32 - $25.87 hourly_
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy licensure preferred.
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Act 34
