The Associate Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Journey Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Journey MA-R performs all aspects of the Associate MA-R role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. A Journey MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

HOME CLINIC: Open positions are located at various clinics across the Walla Walla Area.  We will discuss current open positions and your preferences during the interview. 

The job utilizes a combination of skills including: 

Clerical computer and phone skills  Customer service/people skills  Medical terminology  Hands on clinical skills 

 Typical job skills include: 

Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressure  Updating medications, allergies and other information in patient’s medical records  Performing some medical procedures, specimen collection and lab testing

Associate Medical Assistant - Registered

Required Qualifications: 

Within 60 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Registration Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk 6 months Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting

 Associate Medical Assistant Registered WA, Salary Range, SE Washington: Min: $16.49, Max: $25.20

Medical Assistant Registered: 

Required Qualifications: 

Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire.  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.  6 months of healthcare experience.  6 months of Medical Assistant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk

Medical Assistant Registered, Salary Range, SE Washington: Min: $17.88, Max: $27.31
