**Description:**
**Position Purpose**
Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively
**What you will do**
+ Prepares patients for office visits
+ Performs tasks including escorting patient to treatment room, obtaining pertinent patient information for medical record, and documenting information in patients’ chart
+ Processes patient telephone calls and correspondence for the practice
+ Organizes and prioritizes duties to optimize efficiency and promote positive patient outcomes. Scribes information on a regular basis
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma.
+ Medical Assistant certification required
+ Must also have current CPR certification.
+ Preferable 1 to 2 years' experience in a medical office/hospital setting involving medical assisting and direct patient care
+ Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
