Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. + Gain hands-on experience in care working alongside nurses and other professionals who are passionate about creating a positive impact. **Job Summary** + Assist care for patients in the clinic setting. + Develop long-term, rewarding relationships with a unique subset of patients. + Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems. **Education and/or Experience** + Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma preferred. + Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred. **Certification, Licensure, Registration** + National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or + National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or + National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma. + Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of the employment and every 3 years thereafter. **Work Schedule** + Days: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm + Occasional weekend + Full Time; 80hrs/2wks **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
