Medical Assistant Urgent Care
Job Summary The Medical Assistant administers and performs triage and direct care to assigned patients under thedirection and supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager. This includes functions such as height/weight and vitalsigns, updating medical records, as well as assisting the clinicians with exams as requested. Also ensures asmooth flow of patients through the office by providing efficient basic care to patients. The Medical Assistantperforms routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. The Medical Assistantalso performs secretarial support for the office, assist the front desk operations in performing general clericaltasks, such as checking patients in and out, filing, copying, answering the phone, and related duties asrequested by the Practice Manager. Qualifications Education Requirements Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program Experience Relevant Experience Certification and Licensure Certified Medical Assistant, must have certification or willing to obtain certification Overview Tower Health Urgent Care Clinics are located in Exeter, Sinking Springs, Wyomissing, Gilbertsville, Douglassville, Coventry, and Limerick. Clinic hours of operation: 7 days a week, 9a-9p Hours of position: (3) 12 hour shifts, with an every other weekend rotation Regional Staffing Model: could be asked to cover at any UC location, on-call responsibilities twice every 6 weeks 6:45a-9:45a Tower Health, a regional healthcare system, serves communities across multiple counties in Pennsylvania.
