The Urogynecology team provides exceptional care by connecting with each patient, family member and navigating them through their diagnosis.The primary location is at La Jolla but the surgeons also see patients in Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo as they feel it is imperative to offer their services across the county given their specialized skill set. Patients and surgeons appreciate the Medical Assistants traveling with them to provide continuity of care.What you'll do:
Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with proceduresClinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocolsMaintains a clean, organized, and safe environmentOrganizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practiceRelaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized personCollecting patient data in person and by phoneDocumenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's reviewAdministering medications specifically directed by the physicianScheduling of appointments and proceduresComplete and accurate message takingRouting messages to the appropriate area for directionOrder and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certificationsSetting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographicsThis is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.
