JOB FUCTION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision this position is responsible to ensure services provided to patients are fully paid by patient promptly and or ask to contact patients to determine reason for payment delinquency and negotiate payment plan options based on guidelines. Focus on customer service when working with patients clinical departments and carriers to ensure service questions and charge disputes are handled promptly and professionally. In addition will have teammate help in support and managing the organization policies on collection practices. Demonstrate ability in job skills through training audit and certification to standard work. GENERAL JOB PROFILE: All teammates must certify on the 10 team basic skills and 3 QA basic skills by one year of employment. -Generally work is self-directed -Works with more complex issue accounts -Serves to be a resource to others JOB SCOPE AND GUIDELINES: -Reviews and interprets patients needs and or request -Ability to problem solving and decision making -Provides feedback on errors found or difficult issues that arise ADDITIONAL SCOPE AND GUIDELINES: -Has regular and predictable attendance -Completes annual compliance training on HIPAA/Privacy/Confidentiality/Occupational Safety Health OSHA LI and other state/federal regulations. -Knowledge of organizational policies procedures systems. -Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT coding. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to work effectively with teammates patients the public and external agencies.
