Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist in Augusta, Maine, United States. The chosen candidate will be responsible for various tasks in the medical billing and collections field. The role primarily involves dealing with EHR systems, handling accounts receivable, processing appeals, managing authorizations, and conducting billing functions. Schedule: 1-2 days a on site in Augusta, ME. 3 days a week Remote. Responsibilities: • Utilize EHR systems to access and manage patient records • Process and maintain accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Oversee the appeals process, resolving disputes and ensuring patient satisfaction • Handle authorizations for various medical procedures and treatments • Perform comprehensive billing functions, including invoicing, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies • Liaise with various departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Requirements • Proficiency in EHR SYSTEM is required. • Must have a solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR). • Experience in handling Appeals is necessary. • Familiarity with Authorizations is expected. • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in Billing Functions.
