Description Job Title: Medical Claims Specialist (Temp-to-Hire) Job Description: Seeking a detail-oriented Medical Claims Specialist to manage healthcare billing with accuracy and efficiency. The role will be working under great team managers that truly care for the candidates' success in the role, and helps develop their strengths! Responsibilities: + Claims Preparation & Validation: + Prepare and verify claims for billing per contract terms. + Ensure all patient and provider information is accurate; run pre-billing reports. + Collaboration with Teams: + Resolve coding/documentation issues with clinical staff. + Claims Tracking & Submission: + Monitor submission through clearinghouses to ensure payers receive claims. + Claim Edits: + Identify and resolve errors (e.g., missing codes, modifiers). + Resubmit corrected claims promptly. + Rejections Management: + Investigate denials with payers and clearinghouses. + Maintain compliance with Medicaid/Medicare guidelines and payer policies. + Payment Posting: + Accurately post EOBs, co-pays, and adjustments in EHR systems. + Generate claims and payment reports for process improvement. + Compliance & Knowledge: + Stay current on HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, and industry updates. Requirements Ideally looking for someone who has at least 2 years of experience in this field, and previous experience with NextGen or Netsmart is preferred + Experience: 1–3 years in claims processing, coding, or billing.
