Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Billing Clerk in FORT WORTH, Texas, 76132, United States. The role involves interacting with insurance companies and case workers, maintaining medical billing records, and executing accounting functions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills. Responsibilities • Interact with insurance companies and case workers to ensure accurate and timely medical billing • Process Medicaid claims and check Medicaid eligibility • Maintain detailed and accurate records of medical billing and accounts receivable • Utilize computerized billing systems to manage and update patient accounts • Respond to inbound calls and inquiries related to medical billing and patient accounts • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations • Utilize Office tools to perform daily tasks and manage data • Apply knowledge of private insurance companies in medical billing processes • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in medical billing • Demonstrate a proactive approach in resolving potential issues and improving processes. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Billing Clerk or in a similar role • Proficient in computerized billing systems • In-depth knowledge of accounting functions • Expertise in managing accounts receivable (AR) • Experience in handling and responding to inbound calls • Skilled in medical billing processes and procedures • Understanding of Medicaid billing practices • Familiarity with Medicaid claim filing and processing • Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility criteria and procedures • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
